Access to clean water and food is essential to the health and well-being of every community.

Drilling wells to provide clean water and planting cassava are practical and sustainable approaches to grassroots community development.  These initiatives help improve living conditions, promote better health, and reduce premature death among ethnic groups living in the highlands.

Harvest for Asia aims to empower these communities by connecting them with the tools, knowledge and resources needed to successfully implement and sustain their efforts.  As the saying suggests, instead of simply giving people fish, we provide them with fishing rods, teach them how to fish, and equip them with the necessary skills to support themselves.  Communities can become more independent and better prepared to meet their needs over the long term.
